At Kids Blossom Occupational Therapy, we are experienced in providing occupational therapy (OT) services within clinic, homes and schools. We are passionate about paediatric practice, early childhood intervention, and supporting kids (along with their families) to become the best version of themselves - living happy and confident lives.
Walking beside and guiding kids to learn new skills, overcome challenges and succeed in their daily occupations (how we spend our days) makes our hearts feel full.
Our goal is to provide high-quality, individualised OT services that are shaped by evidence based, family centred, child led, neurodiversity-affirming and trauma sensitive practices.
We offer clinic based and mobile services for children aged 0-10 years. Operating in Caloundra, on the Sunshine Coast, we run regular clinic-based OT therapy sessions.
The services at Kids Blossom OT are tailored to support sensory, motor, regulatory, and various other difficulties commonly associated with conditions such as developmental differences, ADHD, Autism, genetic conditions, learning difficulties and Dyspraxia to name a few.
A diagnosis or referral is not required to commence OT, however a visit to your GP or paediatrician may assist you (if eligible) with funding options via Medicare or the NDIS.
We take a holistic approach to paediatric occupational therapy, addressing the neurodevelopmental, physical, emotional, sensory, cognitive, social and environmental needs of our clients.
At Kids Blossom OT, we are passionate about early intervention, neurodiversity, and preventing kids with seemingly mild difficulties or developmental differences from being misunderstood or slipping through the cracks. These differences or difficulties can contribute to problems at school and at home now, and as they get older.
Our goal is to have lots of fun through therapy. We use a play-based, collaborative, and child-led approach putting your child at the centre of therapy sessions. Providing them with opportunities to build the confidence to plan, make decisions, have choices, and give things a go. Children can learn about their bodies, emotions, and acquire new skills and strategies that are unique, meaningful and effective to them.
We recognise that every child is unique and requires an individualised therapy plan. We work closely with parents and caregivers to understand each child's needs and goals, using evidence-based interventions to promote progress.
We welcome parents and caregivers to join in on sessions and enjoy working together to tailor family and child specific strategies to assist at home, school, and in the community.
